Work from home - a home based business working at homeRegardless of your career choice, whether it is to work from home in Network Marketing, or choosing a different career path working from home, the number one attribute for success in working at home from the start is being highly motivated and commited to make it work.

Working for someone else makes it a lot easier, typically you are told what to do, how to do it, and when to do it.

If your career choice is to start your own home based business  work from home and  enter the world of entrepreneurship there are some very important aspects of this world you want to be sure you understand.

In a nutshell, in the direction of a new Network Marketing MLM business working from home, the; what to do, how to do it, and when to do it, all comes from you. Can you be your own boss, are you a self starter, are you self-disciplined, can you emotionally handle tough problems and tough decisions, do you have the right “mindset”…not looking for the proverbial “pot of gold”, can you be a big picture person and work from home.

The primary reasons most people are not successful on their own is a lack of total commitment, the lack of purpose or plan, and the lack of an unwavering goal.

Starting and running your own home based business requires without exception, a lot of hard work, however with the execution of a good plan the rewards can be very fulfilling; a real sense of accomplishment, potentially an unlimited income and perhaps most important you control your own future…and in this day and age this is huge!

network marketer - mentorAssuming you looked your number one mentor, coach, workhorse, and motivator right in the eye in the mirror and literally, say to that person, “I have the right stuff”, then take the next step, which is to learn the correct way to market your product or service.

Don’t make the mistake of putting the cart before horse, meaning do not acquire a product or service and start marketing without the proper training…you will need to learn how to “attract” not “chase” your share of those daily Internet users.

The difference between these two words “attract” not “chase” is at the core of a proven successful marketing plan, simply put is…“attract” you can be successful,…“chase” and you will fail. If you are told differently, be very, skeptical.

There are millions of people, actively searching the Internet every day, primarily for solutions for problems, and thanks to the new Web 2.0 technology it makes interacting, contributing and collaborating on the many social network sites…a virtual networker paradise.

network marketing mlm perfect stormThis article will explain why the Internet Marketing Industry is the midst of a “perfect storm” – job losses, the near collapse of the financial markets, and the development of  Web 2.0 technology –  is in the midst of a network marketing boom creating a huge growth opportunity in home based businesses for moms and dads working from home.

Many people have lost their jobs, a great many because of downsizing, or forced to take early retirement, because of our recent economic meltdown, most are baby boomers.

Many lost big portions of their projected (earned) if not all retirement income, 401Ks’ were re-valued downward and some to zero and are now forced to seriously start looking at ways to supplement their household income.

To make matters worse, many lack skill sets required needed to start a new career.

There is not crisis in the life of any family other than serious health issues that affect the family as the loss of the family income. In normal times a job loss is usually the result the employers failure to execute the business properly.

However, this setback usually was easily remedied by finding a comparable job in the same field, or in a worse case scenario having to move to a find job. Not the case today, being unemployed in this economy is a nationwide dilema, and finding a comparable job and wages anywhere is not a good bet.

That’s all the bad news, however there is some really good news…while the “bricks and mortar” world is in total economic disarray…if you asked five economist the state of the economy you would get 7 answers.

attraction marketers manifesto 3-2-09

Here is the GOOD NEWS…the Network Marketing industry is BOOMING!

There is solid, logical, and verifiable reasons to support the fact we are right at the tip of the iceberg of a Network Marketing boom; a veritable Network Marketing Explosion!

Whether you are still employed and worrying about the possibility of having your job downgraded or lost your job or already, now is the best time to seriously look at a career in Network Marketing or if you have already started, grow your business.

Another big reason to consider a career in Network Marketing is, it does not require a large amount of money to get started.

The primary reasons for a strong belief in the upcoming boom are supported by the below trends, economic and demographic information:

  • There are definite growth trend indicators provided by the largest of the Network Marketing companies to support their optimism.
  • Typically, a bad economy is good news to the Network Marketing industry. Most economists theorize there is a recession about every eight years, and historically during the down periodsin this boom or bust cycle , the Network Marketing industry has shown growth.

home based business - working from homeAll this being said the growth in moms and dads starting new home based businesses working from home is booming as the result of this “perfect storm” of  job losses, the near collapse of the financial markets, and the development of  Web 2.0 technology.

Marketing 101 Overview Snapshot Of  Web 2.0 And the Social Networking Sites

bill gates - renegade marketingWeb 2.0″ refers to a second generation of very user friendly web development and design, that has accelerated the growth of home based businesses using the social network marketing sites making it easy and practical to work  from home. It facilitates communication, allows safe information sharing, interoperability, and collaboration on the World Wide Web.

Web 2.0 concepts have led to the development and evolution of social media networking sites.

It is a category of new user friendly technologies and enhanced Internet tools developed specifically for the concept that people, who access the Internet, consume media, and use the Web should not passively absorb what is available; rather, they should be active contributors through a network of social media sites.

social media map

In general, the key characteristics of Web 2.0 are:

  • Applications can be accessed from anywhere because they are Web-based applications.
  • Designated problems can be solved by Simple applications.
  • The most important value lies in the actual content, not the software used to display it.
  • It is easy to share Data.
  • It is bottom-up, not top-down Distribution.
  • Tools are accessible and can be used by employees and customers on their own.
  • The Social tools were designed for the purpose of creating, collaborating, editing, categorizing, exchanging, and promoting information.
  •  It’s all about networking – the more people who contribute, the better the content gets.

Almost on a parallel path as the implementation of this technology grew…so has the number of social media sites…and as a result the popularity of social network marketing is growing by “leaps and bounds”, particularly with professionals and service providers.

The attraction of participating in an online social network allows users to tap into real world, real life situations and expand their circles if influence.

mlm network marketing - facebookThe fastest growing and the number one social media site is Facebook. It was developed at Harvard to allow students to communicate with each other online.

My Space was number one prior to Facebook, but with Facebooks’ more user-friendly interface, it has risen very quickly to number one and continues to grow.

Many uninformed, only think that most of the social media sites as literally “social”…like a big party, when in fact the use or networking on these sites has been the catalyst and largely responsible for the growth in Internet commerce whether it is; Internet to bricks and mortar, online business to business, direct selling, and network marketing and multilevel marketing companies(MLM).

In essence it intertwines with, social, business and professional relationships.

Lets’ look at an example;

Renegade network marketing trainingThese social networking sites are where people gather and meet with each other…the determinate as to whether they become friends is basically what they post…like the old adage “birds of a feather flock together”…when they share common interests and values a relationship begins.

Once it is established, conversations most generally migrate to, what do you do…this is what I do…and in many cases the social relationship then goes to another level and a business relationship begins.

The significance, scope and the functionality of how Web 2.0 technology is the cornerstone of the platform that provided the developement of the Social Media sites could be a very involved discussion and the technical aspects understood only by a few.

However, from a marketing 101 point of view it’s premise and purpose is really not any more complicated than the above description.

If you would like more information on how you can learn more about interfacing web 2.0 technology and the social media sites and how you can attract more prospects …you are welcome to contact me for a free consultation and I’ll be happy to explain how it works.

Network Marketing successfullyHow to become a successful as a Network Marketer in Multi-Level Marketing, Direct sales, or Internet Marketing with a home based business– The chronology of Attraction Marketing and the last piece of the puzzle…Ann Sieg’s Attraction Marketer’s  Manifesto.

Whether your a veteran of any type of Internet Marketing or contemplating starting a new home based business in the Internet space, by learning the basic principles of Ann Sieg’s “Attraction Marketing” the success of your re-entry or launch will be greatly enhanced…a can’t miss if you are willing to put forth the effort.

After spending several years in the Multi-Level marketing industry Ann came to the conclusion the training and recruiting programs promoted by the most MLM companies did very little to enhance the chances of growth or success of their associates.

Below is an overview of a typical MLM “pitch” to a new prospective associate or distributor:

  • You can make a lot of money immediately with the promise of residual income.
  • No special skills required and little financial investment needed.
  • Just network with family, friends, anyone within reach or shouting distance.
  • Attend meetings regularly, Local, Regional, and National.
  • The “Pot of Gold” is just around the corner.

After working very hard, spending a lot of money, most soon realized the plan is flawed…and it just does not work.

In addition to not working another negative side effect was by following the company-training program, family and friends all run and hide when they see them coming.

ann sieg - mlm network marketerShe start looking behind the curtains and what she discovered was that the entire basis for building a Network Marketing business being taught was all smoke and mirrors…good for the owners and key-people in the Multi-Level Marketing industry, not so good for the associates/distributors.

As the result of her due diligence she authored a free e-book exposing not only myths, exaggerations, but out right lies…she appropriately titled the book;

The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing
